Self-test on New Hires

Considering all Federal and Minnesota Laws, what would be the correct answers to these questions?

Your Situation:

Bill's hire date is 7/1/2003. He must work two months before he can participate in your benefit package. His coverage begins 9/1/2003. Bill's prior coverage from his previous employer expired on 4/30/2000. Sue, his wife, is pregnant and Bill takes insulin for diabetes. Your medical plan fully complys with Minnesota and Federal laws. Bill has several questions:

 If I don't carry coverage under COBRA from my former employer, will I be covered for my insulin and diabetes on September 1?

Yes or No?

2)  If I don't carry coverage under COBRA from my former employer, do I have coverge for Sue's pregnancy as of September 1?

Yes or No?

3)  Sue is currently pregnant and has not been covered for medical for the past 12 month. Would she be covered September 1st for her pregnancy?

Yes or No?

4)  If I did carry coverage under COBRA from my former employer until August 31, will I be covered for my insulin and diabetes on September 1?

Yes or No?

5)  If I did carry coverage under COBRA from my former employer until August 31, do I have coverage for Sue's pregnancy as of September 1?
